One city – one street – one supplier - Portec

In 2005, Portec was able to rebuild as many as five houses in Cologne in the Schildergasse. A rare and therefor even more gratifying phenomenon.

Almost at the same time , Pohland Schildergasse 49, which is since 01 January 2005, a fully owned subsidiary of Douglas Holding AG, Hagen, received a new face in form of a self-supporting steel and glass facade, designed by the architectural firm RKW (Rode - Kellermann - Wawrovsky) in the same style as the Pohland store in Dortmund. The main entrance was designed as a folding portal system Portec "type PSP1" with the parapet railings in the escalator area being a clamped all-glass construction.
